FAQ's

We recommend starting with short visits to help your child get comfortable in their new environment. Gradually increase the length of time they spend in care until they feel fully settled. Our staff is trained to support children through this transition, making it as smooth as possible for both you and your child.

Children spend at least 2 hours outdoors each day, weather permitting. This includes a mix of free play and guided activities that encourage physical development and exploration. During extreme weather conditions, alternate indoor activities are provided.

Our discipline policy is rooted in positive guidance and redirection. We focus on teaching children appropriate behaviors and problem-solving skills in a supportive environment. Physical punishment, yelling, or any form of shaming is strictly prohibited.

We provide balanced meals and snacks that follow Canada’s Food Guide. Our in-house chef prepares the meals fresh daily, ensuring that children enjoy nutritious and delicious food. We also accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies as specified by parents, provided proper documentation is submitted.

All our teachers meet provincial requirements and hold certifications in Early Childhood Education (RECE). They are also trained in First Aid and CPR, and many participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in childcare.

We do not charge a registration fee. However, families are required to provide 60 days’ written notice if they no longer wish to proceed with the spot. This ensures that we can accommodate other families on the waitlist. Payment options for childcare include direct deposit, post-dated checks, or online transfers. Details are provided during the enrollment process.

Parents are required to provide 30 days’ written notice prior to withdrawal. This allows us sufficient time to accommodate other families on the waitlist and ensure a smooth transition for all. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in being charged one month's tuition fee in lieu of notice. Please refer to our policy handbook for further details.

Kidz World is currently opted-in to the CWELCC program. The CWELCC (Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care) program aims to make child care more affordable for families by reducing fees and improving access to licensed child care services.

Kidz World maintains a waitlist for families seeking childcare services. Families are placed on the waitlist in the order their applications are received. Priority is given to siblings of children already enrolled and returning families.

When a spot becomes available, families will be contacted and have 48 hours to provide an answer. If we do not receive a response within this time frame, we will move to the next family on the waitlist.

The number of children on the waitlist varies each month depending on the Centre’s availability. Families are called in order of inquiry and based on the age of their child that matches our availability.
